Let Me Fill You In

I know. It’s been seventeen days since my last post. I’m running full throttle-lately as I endure the last weeks of the semester. I assure you that in two weeks you’ll be seeing a lot more of me.

Since you’re a little uninformed about what’s happening with me lately, let me just fill you in…

I don’t know how many hours I’ve spent studying over the past two weeks. Hours. And hours. And hours. You could fill a small swimming pool with the note cards I’ve been flipping through.

You know what else has been conquering my time? Papers. Papers. And more papers. I’ve written about everything from production agriculturalists to reverse gender roles in The Hunger Games.

One of the highlights of a day last week was taking a nap. I love living life on the edge.

On a positive note, the fact that in two weeks I can sleep, watch movies, hang out with friends, and be absolutely unproductive keeps me going.

I had a wonderful Easter weekend with my family and even decided to stay home an extra day rather than returning to college. Call me a “skipper” all you want.

I walked into a Barnes & Noble and randomly met UK basketball coach, John Calipari. I’ll give you the details on that one later.

I attended a Jake Owen and “Parmalee” concert one night. I just decided to go on the day of the actual show, but it’s a good thing that I made that decision, because it was the best concert I’ve ever attended. Our seats weren’t near the front, but who cares about being close to the stage? I certainly did not when Jake Owen popped up in the back of the crowd and started singing right beside me. No lie.

I ran a 5k race this morning. It was the first time I’ve ran in a while because I’ve been so busy, so I was a little slower than normal. It felt good to get my legs moving though.

I’ll try to post a few times over the next couple weeks, but no promises. If not, summer is only a test, three papers, four presentations, and a few finals away!
