Hello, world. Sorry I haven’t posted much during the last few days. It’s been a little crazy. Speaking of crazy, you know what else is?
The weather.
I absolutely love autumn. It’s my favorite season. I love how the leaves paint a new masterpiece to be marveled upon each day. I love the crisp, breezy feeling. I love the taste of apple cider while relaxing on a fall afternoon. But the weather recently… what are this?
I like the temperature staying in the same ranges for a few days and gradually transitioning into something new. This has not been the case. Literally last week, I was wearing shorts one day, but when I walked outside the next, it was as if Jack Frost came up and punched me in the face. After venturing to get my overcoat and practically sprinting to Starbucks for a white chocolate mocha, I thought winter was here to stay. It warmed up a little soon, but now, we’re to the point that I’ve currently got the window open in my room, desperate for cool air. Part of my thermal trap is due to the fact that the heat has been turned on in my dorm because of the blast of artic air from last week. I woke up last night and my pillow was actually damp from sweat. Sorry for that information, but I felt it was relevant to illustrate how hot I was.
Let’s not forget rain! Rain just comes with fall. Actually, let’s rephrase that… random rain comes with fall.
Remember that chalk I had to go to Narnia (if you haven’t read that story, I recommend you scroll down) to get? Well, the purpose of it was to advertise for an event on campus sidewalks. So last night, I spent an hour and a half chalking spots all over my campus. You can imagine my reaction when I woke up this morning to a light sprinkle. It wasn’t even a good shower, it was just enough to make my hard work look like blobs of color. Oh well. Stay tuned. If the pattern (or lack thereof) continues, it could be snowing tomorrow.
