As I sit here and reflect on the year I’ve had, I can’t help but wonder if it all really happened.
I lived on a ship for almost four months and I have traveled the world while doing so. I have met people from around the globe who have left footprints on my heart. I have gazed to edge of the blue horizon and I have fallen asleep in one nation to awake in another. Many will never see the wonders I’ve seen or experience the things I’ve done this year. I know I am still in the process of telling you my story as I post an occasional glimpse of a country here and there, and the truth is: I’m having trouble finding the right words. That’s why it’s taking me so long, my readers. I have written my thoughts and stories along the way, but I change them and rewrite them because I want you all to have a perfect little view of the world through my eyes – a view that is worthwhile with a hint of my witty narrative – that you can enjoy. That’s easier said than done.
So perhaps my recap of my year will come a little later when I have managed to find the words to tell my whole story. Until then, thank you for being patient, thank you for reading these posts, and thank you for sailing with me. Have a wonderful new year.
Does this mean I need to stop pestering you? 😉
Haha. You keep me on my toes. Happy New Year!
